About Sarah
I am an experienced and fully accredited BACP-registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MBACP Accred.) with a Post Graduate Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling as well as an MSc in Coaching and Counselling. I have worked with individuals for over twenty years now and before becoming a Therapist, I worked as a Business Psychologist and Executive Coach specialising in mental health issues and working with individuals who were struggling to cope in the workplace. I also have mental health training from Mind.
I create a warm, caring and confidential space in which I hope that you will feel safe, valued and heard by me as I walk alongside you as you face the difficulties in living that bring you to therapy. I believe that we are all unique and deserve to be seen and heard in relationship and therefore I work in a relational way with you, creating a space where you feel accepted, valued and acknowledged. I understand that life can be tough and at times we may feel overwhelmed and struggle to cope. I work with you either short-term or long-term to explore and work through together what is troubling you.
As well as working in private practice, I have also worked as a Counsellor for Cruse Bereavement Care, Low-Cost Counselling Lewes and at St Peter and St James Hospice working with both patients and bereaved relatives.
As a BACP-registered Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I adhere to the BACP (British Association for Psychotherapy and Counselling) Ethical Framework in order to work ethically and to keep you safe as we work together. I also hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate, have regular supervision in place as well as professional indemnity insurance.
